The opening of the exhibition “Hellenism of Asia Minor: Images and Memories” at the Athens College Theater took place on Friday, March 10, 2023, within the framework of the Athens College tribute to the 100 years since the Asia Minor Catastrophe. The exhibition was organized by the Athens College President’s Office, the Athens College and Psychico College Junior High Schools and the College Library in collaboration with the Hellenic Parliament Foundation for Parliamentarism and Democracy.

The opening included a round table discussion with:

• Aggelos Syrigos, Deputy Minister of Education, Professor of International Law and Foreign Policy, Panteion University
• Evanthis Xatzivassiliou, Professor of the History and Archaeology Department, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Secretary General of the Hellenic Parliament Foundation for Parliamentarism and Democracy
• Mr. Elias Maglinis, Author, Journalist
• Ms. Anna Enepekidou, Member of the Hellenic Parliament Foundation for Parliamentarism and Democracy, Curator of the Exhibition
• Mr. Manolis Koumas, Professor of History of International Relations, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, coordinator of the discussion

During the event, Athens College and Psychico College Junior High School students who were distinguished in the “Kath’ imas Anatoli” Drawing Competition received their awards.

The exhibition includes our Junior High School Grade 3 students’ artwork and projects, as well as family heirlooms of members of the entire Athens College community.

The exhibition will be hosted at the Athens College Theater from Friday, March 10 to Wednesday, April 26, 2023, and will be open to the public οn 13/3, 15/3, 22/3, 27/3, 29/3, 5/4, 24/4, and 26/4 at 5-8 p.m.
