As part of the inquiry into the transdisciplinary theme, Sharing the Planet, with the central idea “Living organisms grow and change”, pre-kindergarten students visited the Aesthetic Forest in Kaisariani and participated in an environmental program entitled “The Turtle’s Shell”.

More specifically, students developed research skills while observing and discovering hidden turtles in the forest, which are surprisingly not only pets in our gardens but also wild animals that need to be protected. They also learned facts about the Greek terrestrial turtles and cultivated the learner profile attribute of caring as they learned how we protect and take care of them.
