Kindergarten "J. M. Carras" attends a First Aid Seminar
As part of the inquiry into the transdisciplinary unit Who We Are, the teaching staff and pre-kindergarten students of “J.M. Carras” attended an important first-aid seminar entitled “Be a Superhero”. The seminar was conducted by Dr. Christos Krasadakis, a maxillofacial surgeon and parent of our school who is also the founder of the First Aid Athens volunteer group.
Dr. Krasadakis talked to us about our senses, what we must do if someone we know is chocking, and how to stop a nose bleed. Moreover, he showed us how to perform CPR and allowed time for all the students to practice chest compressions on dummies. More importantly, our school has its own defibrillator.
We warmly thank him!
