World Read Aloud Day: ""The love of reading will start with children for a better world"
Feb 14, 2024
In the context of the World Read Aloud Day and the positive attitude of children towards books as a means of knowledge and entertainment, but also as an integral tool of the educational process, on February 6 and 8 students of Athens College Elementary German Class exchanged visits with their fellow students of Psychico College Elementary German Class and read short stories for children.
The theme of the children's stories, which our students read to their classmates from Psychico College, was about colors "Der Regenbogen, der seine Farben verlor" - the rainbow that lost its colors and "Farbenkinder" - the children of colors. Our students first completed worksheets in their classes answering the questions, what, where, when and who reads. This was followed by the activity in our School's outdoor classroom which enabled the children to color the rainbow and the color children with finger paints as a concluding activity.
Our students read their texts brilliantly and enjoyed the activity with enthusiasm.
