Cross-Cultural Learning Journey: Teachers from Spain and Sweden Explore Innovative Practices at Athens College Elementary School
We are excited to share the highlights of a recent visit to our School by delegations of teachers from El Casal school in Castellar del Vallès, Barcelona, Spain, and Gränbyskolan in Uppsala, Sweden. Hosted by the English Department, this Job Shadowing experience within the Erasmus Framework, provided an enriching opportunity for all involved.
During their visit, visiting teachers had the chance to observe English classes across Grades 1 to 6, immersing themselves in our teaching methods and student engagement strategies. The Spanish teachers showed a keen interest in our School's sustainability practices, given our status as an ECO school and our involvement in various environmental networks. Meanwhile, the Swedish educators were intrigued by our innovative methodologies, pedagogy, and the diverse programs of instruction on offer.
The feedback we received from our guests was overwhelmingly positive, with everyone impressed by the high standard of teaching and the dynamic learning environment. As a result, we are excited to explore opportunities for further collaboration. This cross-cultural learning journey not only strengthens the ties between our institutions but also emphasizes the value of international collaboration in advancing education. We look forward to building upon this experience and continuing to learn and grow together.
