Speech by Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Vassilis Kikilias to Athens College Junior High School students

On Monday, March 11, 2024, a briefing for all Athens College Junior High School students on Climate Crisis and Natural Disasters was held at the College Theater by officers of the EMAK and EMODE.
At this meeting, the Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Vassilis Kikilias, urged students to always be alert and call the Fire Department in case of an emergency, to become volunteers in their local area, to raise awareness and mobilize in the efforts to fight climate crisis.
After the info session, the pupils of Junior High School 1 participated in an experiential activity which included an exercise in the use of firefighting equipment, extinguishing a forest fire using a virtual fire, presentation of special uniforms and testing by the students, presentation of a fire truck and its equipment and demonstration of the rescue dog and the commands it carries out.
