95th Commencement Ceremony

Our School's 95th Commencement Ceremony occurred on Thursday, July 11, 2024, in an atmosphere full of excitement, pride, and anticipation. Graduates, parents, teachers, and guests attended the ceremony and applauded the 422 graduates who received their diplomas, joining Athens College's extended family of graduates.

The Ceremony began with the traditional parade down the Benaki steps and the entrance of graduates, the senior class, and members of the School Direction and Administration.

Opening remarks were given by the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic-American Educational Foundation (HAEF), Ms. Annika Papantoniou, and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees Mr. George Antoniadis.

Athens College President, Professor Spiros N. Pollalis congratulated all graduates on their excellent performance at this year's Panhellenic and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme examinations and expressed with certainty that with the skills and the values they have now acquired, they are ready to assume responsible roles in society.  The recipients of this year's President's Award are all the educators and teachers since the founding of Athens College who have made the School what it is today.

Keynote speaker at this year’s Commencement was His Excellence the United States Ambassador to Greece Mr. George J. Tsunis congratulated our graduates and noted that they will each find their path in "the new river of life" they are about to step on after their graduation.

Athens College Co-Director and Director of the Athens College High School Mr. Christos Konstantopoulos and Psychico College Coordinator and Director of the Psychico College High School Mr. Panagiotis Giannoulatos awarded special distinctions and prizes to the graduates.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Athens College - Psychico College Alumni Association (SAKA) Mr. Aristides Pittas ’78 addressed the graduates of 2024 and welcomed them to the family of SAKA.

Diplomas to the graduates were awarded by Mr. Konstantopoulos and Mr. Giannoulatos, who in turn addressed a short farewell message to the graduating Class of 2024.

Greek Minister of Labor and Social Security and Athens College alumnus Ms. Niki Kerameus attended the event.
