Nikolas Garoufalidis, a student of Psychico College Junior High School 1 and of the Athens College Conservatory, received the very honorable invitation to perform as a soloist with the Athens State Orchestra on the fourth day of the 3rd Halki Music Festival "Dimitris Kremastinos" which took place on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. This is a highly visible event with the participation of distinguished soloists of the international music scene, which is held under the auspices of the President of the Hellenic Republic.

11-year old Nikolas, who performed a 15-minute program of extremely challenging works from the classical repertoire, is a Special Interest Scholar of our School for his outstanding performance in Music. As noted by the artistic director of the Halki Festival and member of the Athens State Orchestra, Mr. Nikos Haliasas, Nikolas is one of the very rare cases of children who are selected to perform with the oldest and most prestigious symphony orchestra in Greece, the Athens State Orchestra.
