Slovenian teachers visit the Athens College Elementary School in the framework of Erasmus+

The visit of 13 Slovenian teachers to our School in the framework of the Erasmus+ Program KA210- 59F69C46- "Small-scale partnerships in school education" entitled "Food in schools and climate change - what is the connection? I take action!", which is coordinated by Slovenia in cooperation with the Hellenic Society for Nature Conservation, national operator of the approved by the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports network "Eco-Schools". The mobility in the form of a visit - study took place on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 and aimed to inform and exchange good practices with Slovenian school units on the issue of sustainable nutrition in schools. The Athens College Elementary School English Department presented a variety of activities related to composting, growing vegetables in the school gardens, the origin of food, the nutrition in our School's dining hall and experiments on how climate change affects pollinators in nature.
