On Wednesday, November 6, 2024, the Psychico College Elementary School Library organized a presentation of the book "Stelios Kyriakides, the man who ran for an entire nation", which took place at the School Theater for Grade 4 students.
Author and granddaughter of Stelios Kyriakides, Maria Kontou, together with the illustrator of the book, George Sgouros, shared the story of the great marathon runner, who with his strength and stubbornness became a symbol of hope and solidarity for the Greek people. Through the documentary and the impressive images, students learned about the hero's great journey and were inspired by his values.
The event concluded with a question and answer session, where the children expressed their admiration and talked about the importance of pushing our limits for a higher purpose. It was an event that touched everyone's hearts and highlighted the life lessons of Stelios Kyriakides.
