In the first unit of the Modern Greek lesson, students of Athens College Junior High School 1 followed the evolution of the family and the School through time. More specifically, through the text "The New Pedagogy" they saw how students learned around 1960 and how much the educational system has changed in our time. They collected photos and other items given to them by their grandparents, interviewed their older loved ones, and worked creatively with each other to capture all of this on their classroom sign. Through this activity, they all took a journey into the past, identified with the students of the past and concluded that modern teaching methods are preferable to those of the past and are more adequate for the citizens of the 21st century world.
