The Athens College Junior High School "Living in the Mediterranean - Land of the Olive" Club celebrated World Olive Day on November 26, 2024. World Olive Day was established by UNESCO, with the aim of encouraging the protection of the olive tree and promoting the values it embodies. Students took a tasting test, sampling different types of olives and other delicacies, completed a leaflet and watched student projects on the history of the olive, its environmental value and its relationship with Greece, Athens and the Olympic Games.
