Athens College Elementary School German Class Celebrates Martin' s Day - Martinstag

"Martinstag: a journey from legend and tradition to the customs of today's German-speaking countries"
Students of the Athens College Elementary German class and the ÖSD INSTITUT GRIECHENLAND presented a cultural program on the celebration of Martin's Day - Martinstag in German-speaking countries at our School's Theater on November 8, 2024. Students of the German Club and the Culinary Club made traditional buns - Martinsmänner. The preparation and presentation at the Theater created enthusiasm for the German students and gave them the opportunity to learn about traditional customs and focus on values such as solidarity, giving, and loving one's fellow man and to realize that the bonds in a society bind people together as a whole.
