Athens College Junior High MUN team participated at the 19th session of the Costeas Geitonas Model United Nations Conference (CGS MUN). It was held between Friday, December 6 to Sunday, December 8, 2024 at the premises of Costeas Geitonas in Athens. The theme of this year’s conference was “Ethos Vs Progress: Reassessing our values in a fragile world”. We participated with 2 delegations representing Brazil and Finland. Our 11 delegates took part in the following General Assembly’ s Committees as well as Specialized Committees:

Brazil: GA3- C. Skoulariki, GA4- K. Griva, GA6- S. Dialetis (Ambassador)

ECOSOC- D. Alafogiorgos, SPECON- V. Papadimitriou,

UNDRR- K. Polydoros

Finland: GA3-L. Vartzeli, GA4-D. Kesisikli (Ambassador), EC2- J. Strapatsakis, WHO - P. Papasideris, UNDRR- E. Papadimitriou

The best delegate award was given to Panagiotis Papasideris. Ermis Papadimitriou was also awarded with an honorable mention award. All our delegates exhibited their critical thinking, diplomacy and teamwork skills.
