On Tuesday, December 10, 2024, Athens College Elementary School educator Chrysostomos Lefteratos participated in the Digital Education Conference 2024, at the South East Technological University (SETU), with his presentation Reimagining History: a Journey through Athens and Sparta with AI-Driven Student Plays.  The topic of the presentation was the use of AI to enrich the educational experience. In an impressive application of ICT in the classroom, students in section 4b explored ancient Athens and Ancient Sparta through drama and group activities. Using Microsoft Copilot, students took on the challenge of turning the content of the history chapters into drama, actively participating in the learning process. This teaching approach combines technology and creativity, fostering engagement, collaboration, and critical thinking. The project highlights the power of interactive education and its role in cultivating skills that are essential for the future.
