
Psychico College Elementary School - UNESCO Club
Psychico College Elementary School UNESCO Club, consisting of 21 students, successfully took part in the international program Plastic Clever Schools, demonstrating its full commitment to reducing the use of plastic and protecting the environment.
During the European Week for Waste Reduction, students undertook activities to raise awareness in the school community on the excessive use of single-use plastics and its consequences on the environment. Their initiatives included:
- Cleaning up the school from plastic waste
- Making an inventory of single-use plastic packaging in various school areas
- Proposing solutions for a school with less plastic waste in every class
- Creating an informative video, which was submitted to the Plastic Clever Schools competition
Participating in this program not only raised the awareness of students on environmental protection, but also fostered their agency and cooperation on sustainability issues. Upon completing the program, the students received certificates of participation, which rewarded their efforts and acknowledged their important contribution to this initiative.
