Athens College Junior High School - Italian teachers visit the School for EU Erasmus+ Project

On Monday, February 24, 2025, Athens College Junior High School welcomed three teachers from the Istituto Comprensivo Milani in Italy, in the context of Erasmus+ and the KA121 Job Shadowing project.

Ms. Debora Salani, Ms. Elisabetta Pisani and Ms. Inelda Iaboni had the opportunity to explore modern teaching practices and exchange innovative ideas with their Greek colleagues: Mr. Savvas Dimitriadis, Mr. Epameinondas Zafeiris, Ms. Athanasia Kakolyri, Ms. Sotiria Nikolaidou, and Ms. Eirini Siotou.

The visit program included multiple teaching approaches to the following subjects of study:

📌Physics & Chemistry: "Understanding pressure and buoyant force through ICT and drama techniques.", "Investigating electrical safety and the importance of avoiding short circuits in the Physics Lab", "Alternative assessment in Science: Investigating density in the Chemistry Lab".

📌Mathematics: "Fostering mathematical understanding through outdoor project-based learning"

📌STE(A)M and Erasmus+: "Integrating STE(A)M practices and Erasmus+ projects across the school community"

📌Biology & Geography: "Exploring Biology through microscopy and models in the Biology Lab", "Geography research project in Athens College Library"

The exchange of best practices and the promotion of intercultural education strengthen our School's global outreach and commitment to international collaboration.
