On Saturday, March 8, 2025, the 12th Student Meeting of Public Speaking in French "Conseil des Jeunes Citoyens" was held at De La Salle College in Thessaloniki. This event, the only public speaking competition in French that takes place in Greece, brought together 190 students from 16 schools, including many French-speaking institutions. The competition simulates a French-speaking Open Council of Citizens, allowing students to take on the roles of active citizens.

Athens College High School was represented by 8 High School 2 students: I. Georgiadi, O.E. Kountouris, O. Makari, L. Michanetzi, E.M. Pagkrati, S.F. Papadaki, D. Serepas, and A. Tzinieri. The following students were distinguished:

Student Eirini-Maria Pagkrati won 1st place in debating (B2 SOLIDARITÉ-SOLIDARITY category) and received the "Jeune Citoyen" prize.

Student Ioanna Georgiadi won 3rd place in debating (B2 CULTURE - CULTURE category) and received the "Prix de mérite" prize.

The students were accompanied by French teachers Ms. Maria Christidou and Ms. Anna Louiza Vallindra, with the latter also overseeing their preparation.

We wholeheartedly congratulate all our students for their participation and their excellent presence, as well as our two distinguished students for their achievement in the Competition!
