Psychico College Elementary School 1 - "Taking care of myself"
Mar 18, 2025
Another PYP Transdisciplinary Unit has successfully concluded! Through the Unit "Who We Are", Elementary School 1 students gained a deeper understanding of themselves and recognized their responsibility for their own self-care.
A balanced diet is essential for good health. On Monday and Tuesday, February 24 & 25, Elementary School 1 students took part in an educational program to learn about seasonal fruit and vegetables - all while playing!
On Wednesday, February 26, the students brought their healthy breakfast to class and ate it with their classmates, reinforcing habits that help protect the body from illness.
Later that day, they gathered in the School Theater for an engaging presentation by our School doctor, Mr. Antonios Makris. They learned about their body parts, how they change as we grow, and simple ways to maintain personal hygiene.
On Wednesday, March 5, students returned to the School Theater for a final talk about maintaining a healthy diet. They explored the rights and responsibilities of parents and children in making healthy food choices and discussed practical tips they can apply at home to make mealtimes more enjoyable.
Adopting healthy habits has now become a priority for our young learners!
