Apr 3, 2025
On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, our School had the great honor of welcoming Karolina Pelendritou, Paralympic gold medalist in swimming. In a moving and inspiring speech, she shared with our students the challenges faced by an athlete with visual impairment and emphasized the importance of willpower and persistence in the path to success.
Though her personal experiences, Ms. Pelendritou highlighted the power of effort, the need to adapt to difficulties, and the mindset required to overcome obstacles. Her message to our students was truly inspiring: with perseverance, dedication, and belief in oneself, any goal is within reach.
It was a unique experience that inspired and motivated us.
Notably, Mr. Stelios Kakavogiannis, Physical Education teacher in our school and Head Swimming Coach of Cyprus NPC, is also the coach of Karolina Pelendritou.
Having won eight medals in six Paralympic Games, Karolina Pelendritou has proven that there are no limits when dedication and hard work come together.
