Athens College and Psychico College Elementary Schools celebrate the anniversary of the revival of the Olympic Games

To commemorate April 6th, 1896, the day marking the revival of the Olympic Games in Athens, the Physical Education Departments of Athens College and Psychico College Elementary Schools organized a series of athletic events for all students.
On Monday, April 7, 2025, both schools hosted track & field competitions and demonstrations.
Special guests included Greek Olympic champions Nery Mantey Niangkouara (Swimming), Nikos Skiathitis (Rowing - Double Sculls) and Giorgos Chalkidis (Handball), representing ETHNOA (the National Olympic Academy). All students attended their presentations, during which the athletes emphasized the Olympic Values, spoke about their sports, and shared their stories. A highlight of the event was the display of Olympic torches from the Turin and Beijing Games, presented by our Olympic champions to the audience.
