Dear Parents,

As the end of the current school year approaches, we would like to inform you of May – June scheduling for IB DP Year 1.

On Friday, May 20, at 17:00, the 2nd semester report cards will be uploaded on SoSimple for the Greek program lessons. On Thursday, May 26 at 17:00 the 2nd semester report cards will be uploaded for the IB DP courses. You may access both by following the path https://sosimple.athenscollege.edu.gr - Connect with username and password - Attachments.  We would like to remind you that communication with your child’s teachers through the weekly appointments will end on May 19, 2022.

The last day of classes will be on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 and the June examination period will run from Friday, May 27, 2022 through Wednesday, June 15, 2022.  Attached you will find the examination schedule, where you will also find the day and arrival time for each exam. Directly after the examination period, there will be a period of feedback and preparation in regards to next steps (e.g. Extended Essay, Group 4 project), which will run through June 22.  Additionally, please note that students may need to come to school on some days after June 22nd in order to conduct experiments for the Extended Essay and the Sciences.

Throughout the course of the exams, students’ entry and exit from the School will be via the Stefanou Delta Main Gate.  Students must be at School (outside Glafka building) on the days and times they have an exam, strictly adhering to the attached schedule. Please note that students’ arrival to and departure from the school after May 25th may extend beyond the days/hours covered by school buses.  We will follow up with further communication in regards to which days will be covered by school bus.

If you would like your child to leave School directly after the end of his/her exam and directly after class during the feedback period, please sign the attached consent-declaration form (with the authenticity of the signature verified via gov.gr, at a local police station, or through a Citizens’

Service Center/KEP) and send it via e-mail to [email protected] by Thursday, May 26, 2022.  In order to exit the campus, students must show the above signed consent – declaration form along with their Athens College ID or national ID card.
