International Day of Sport for Development and Peace

In celebration of the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, an event was held on Monday, April 7, 2025, at the College Theater in Psychico. The event brought together students from the Junior High Schools and High Schools of Athens College and Psychico College under the theme: "100 years of College Sport - Alumni who participated in the Olympic Games".
The main speakers were alumni Spyros Kapralos x74, Stefanos Chandakas '89, Tatiana Kavvadia '94, and Elvira Efstathiou '07, who shared with students the athletic spirit of different eras at the School. They offered insights into sports management and reflected on their personal experiences in the Olympic Games.
The event also featured a performance of the Olympic Anthem by soloist Eleni Alifragi, accompanied on piano by Stefanos Tsokakis, Interschool Head of Music.
At the conclusion of the event, Professor Spiros N. Pollalis, Director/President of Athens College honored the athletes with commemorative plaques in recognition of their contributions to the College's athletic legacy and to Greek sports more broadly.
The event was coordinated by Vasilis Moschos, Interschool Head of Physical Education and Sports, Kaiti Katsiki, Physical Education teacher, and the Council of the "A" Association.
Representing the "A" Association were students Kalliopi Patera, Konstantina Paschalidou, Nelly Flutakou, Yannis Patronis, Anastasia Stathaki, and Dimosthenis Rigos-Efraimoglou.
