IB DP Υear 1 students of the Environmental Systems and Societies course visited the Schinias National Park on April 14, 2022, as part of the internal assessment component of the course. Students created transects and carried out quadrat sampling at fixed distances along the beach. The purpose of the research was to study the relationship between soil salinity and biodiversity. Moreover, the students collected soil samples which were analysed in the school laboratory for pH, air content, relative salinity, moisture and texture.
