
Athens College Junior High School - Presentation by former NASA Manager to Students of Physics Thinking and Astronomy Clubs

On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, students from the Physics Thinking and Astronomy Clubs attended an online presentation by Bruce Tiller, former Manager of the Boosters Office for the Space Launch System (SLS) at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville. Mr. Tiller led the team responsible for the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the SLS solid rocket boosters that provide over 75% of the thrust during the launch of NASA's Artemis missions to the Moon. Following the presentation, students asked the speaker numerous questions, expressing their enthusiasm and interest in NASA's projects and the technologies involved. Mr. Tiller responded with energy and depth, offering valuable insights from his experiences during his many years with the agency.
