As part of their inquiry into the transdisciplinary theme, Who We Are, with central idea, Characteristics, abilities, and interests make people unique., pre-K students had the opportunity to take part in the educational program, I Love Guide Dogs, meant to cultivate ideas of inclusion and accepting one’s uniqueness. The program emphasized the value of collaborating and helping each other, while simultaneously sparked caring emotions towards animals. Guide dogs are living examples of solidarity, helping to maintain a positive perspective towards people with disabilities.
