We want our students to adopt a healthy lifestyle and healthy eating habits.
In our school’s canteens and cafeterias, we offer products rich in nutritional value and low in fat, taking into consideration children’s possible allergies and special needs. All products and menus are approved by special committees comprised of members of the School Administrations and Parents Associations, as well as representatives of the appointed catering company, the school’s pediatrician and nutrition consultants.
Throughout the academic year, we perform inspections of the canteens to ensure product quality. We set the menus served at the Kindergarten and Elementary School cafeterias to include balanced meals that meet the needs of children. The diet is based on the principles of the Mediterranean diet, the recommendations of the National Nutrition Guide and the international guidelines for healthy eating in childhood. It is constantly renewed and enriched so that children are exposed to new tastes and there is no boring monotony. The meals chosen are of high nutritional value and at the same time familiar, attractive and tasty, so as to ensure that they are accepted by the children.
