Applying to 3rd Grade of Elementary School

Admission into Grade 3 of Athens College or Psychico College Elementary School upon availability is through Written Exams in Greek and Mathematics.

Upon availability, it is announced whether admissions exams will also be held for new students entering the Grade 4, Grade 5 and Grade 6 for the Elementary School.

Admissions Examinations take place at the College facilities in the Psychico campus (15 Stephanou Delta st.)

Following the online application and in order to complete the registration process parents should:

  • Complete the online form with the terms for the examinations they will receive through e-mail by the Student Admissions Office.
  • Send a recent photograph of the candidate in jpeg format for the “PARTICIPATION FORM”, that candidates must have with them on the day of the examination.
  • Deposit €120 to a HAEF bank account.

Terms of the examination

Subjects tested are:

  • Greek Language
  • Mathematics

The exam syllabus for the two subjects is available in the Related Files.

Each of the two 60-minute tests (Greek, Mathematics) will be graded on a scale of 100 points, with 50 points considered the lowest passing score.  Students will be admitted strictly on ranking, based on the cumulative score achieved in the Greek and Mathematics tests. 

Students who do not achieve a passing score (50 points) in either of the aforementioned disciplines are excluded from admission.

Final scores will be announced to parents in writing through e-mail and no appeal for test retaking or review will be considered.

Candidates will also be examined orally in English in order to determine their competence level and subsequent placement in a corresponding English language section (English as a Foreign Language, English as a Second Language, English as a Native Language). During the assessment, candidates will meet briefly psychologists from the School’s Psychoeducational Department.

Students who are admitted (Athens College Elementary School or Psychico College Elementary School) will complete their schooling in the Junior High and High School of the same School, provided they meet the terms and conditions foreseen in the Internal Rules & Regulations of the College’s respective school units.

Please note that candidates who wish to enroll and attend Athens College are required to be have completed all the prescribed vaccinations according to the Greek National Vaccination Committee and the National Vaccination Program.
