Merit Awards and Scholarships 2024-2025
On Monday, November 4, 2024 a special ceremony was held at the Choremi Theater for the bestowal of Merit Awards and Merit Scholarships to Athens College and Psychico College students for academic year 2024-2025. The event was attended by members of the School's Administration and Management as well as the parents of the award winners.
Athens College President Professor Spiros N. Pollalis welcomed the attendees and congratulated all the students, noting that the criteria for the bestowal of the Merit Awards and Scholarships are solely their outstanding academic performance and excellent conduct record.
Christos Konstantopoulos, Co-Director of Athens College and Director of the Athens College High School and Panagiotis Giannoulatos, Co-Director of Psychico College and Director of Psychico College High School gave congratulatory addresses to students and then presented them with their awards.
Merit Scholarships
Merit Scholarships for academic year 2024-2025 were awarded to:
1) Students who excelled in the Entrance Exams for Junior High School Grade 1 (1st Gymnasium):

- STAVROU MARGARITA
- MASTELLOS STAMATIS
2) Students who graduated from Athens College and Psychico College Grade 6 and excelled in the April 2024 written exams:
- SAKELLARIOU ALEXANDROS

3) Students who excelled in the Entrance Exams for High School Grade 1 (1st Lykeion):

4) The student who excelled in the IB DP Y1 Entrance Examinations:

Merit Awards
Merit Awards are accorded to Grade 9 and Grade 11 Athens College and Psychico College students based on their cumulative grades from the previous two years. Merit Awards for 2024 were awarded to:

Scholarships of Special Interest
Scholarships of Special Interest are accorded to students who demonstrated outstanding performance in Athletics or the Arts (Music or Visual Arts). For academic year 2024-2025, Scholarships of Special Interest were awarded to:
KARABATSA DANAI-EVANGELIA (Track and Field), who earned first place among Athens College Grade 6 students in academic year 2023-2024, who took part in the process for the Special Interest Scholarship in Athletics.
STOGIOGLOU ELENI (Track and Field), who earned first place among Psychico College Grade 6 students in academic year 2023-2024, who took part in the process for the Special Interest Scholarship in Athletics.
KOMIANOS EROTOKRITOS-NIKOLAOS (Sailing), who earned first place among Psychico College Grade 9 students in academic year 2023-2024, who took part in the process for the Special Interest Scholarship in Athletics.
KAIRIDI IRIA (Visual Arts), who earned first place among Athens College Grade 6 students in academic year 2023-2024, who took part in the process for the Special Interest Scholarship in the Arts.
VLASI NEFELI (Visual Arts), who earned first place among Athens College Grade 9 students in academic year 2023-2024, who took part in the process for the Special Interest Scholarship in the Arts.
DALAKOURA AMALIA (Visual Arts), who earned first place among Psychico College Grade 9 students in academic year 2023-2024, who took part in the process for the Special Interest Scholarship in the Arts.
GAROUFALIDIS NIKOLAOS (Violin), who earned first place among Psychico College Grade 6 students in academic year 2023-2024, who took part in the process for the Special Interest Scholarship in Music.
PSALTI ALIKI (Guitar), who earned first place among Athens College Grade 6 students in academic year 2032-2024, who took part in the process for the Special Interest Scholarship in Music.
