The College Marathon

The 32^nd Athens Marathon – the “Authentic” one – took place on November 9, 2014.  The College family (students, parents, alumni, employees and friends of the School) showed up en masse, entering 1,058 runners.

Over the past three years, the College community has participated in the Classic Athens Marathon with great success.  This event is yet another means of raising awareness of the Scholarship Fund.

Participation in the Marathon can be in one of two ways:

AS RUNNERS – REPRESENTATIVES OF OUR SCHOOL at the Athens Marathon 2014, in the 5,000m or 10,000m races within this same event, or in the 1,000m Children’s Race

AS SPONSORS OF RUNNERS, thus recognizing, through your donation, their efforts in supporting our School’s Scholarship Fund.By being “PRESENT” in “Our Marathon,” we actively promoted the importance of HAEF’s Scholarship Program.  By participating in “Our Marathon,” we upheld the value of “Life-long Sports – Exercise," we exemplified collective volunteerism, and we communicated the timeless message of the “College Spirit.”
