In the field of education, Ergometrics Testing is never an objective, but a means. In this dynamic process, the Physical Education teacher uses Ergometrics to determine students’ current abilities and the extent to which these skills can be improved, thus providing him/her with a fitness plan for his/her students. Additionally, through the use of Ergometrics, the teacher can judge the effectiveness of current programs and adjust accordingly. If the educator feels that objectives are not being met, then he/she can reassess and revise the program, removing those factors that impede students from reaching the desired results, choosing instead others which may contribute to their achievement.
