The 12^th Annual Elementary Schools’ Swim Meets, in memory of Athinoula Martinou, took place on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the “Athinoula Martinou” Swimming Center.   Ms. Iro Kokkou, a member of the HAEF Association (Somateio), declared the games open.

The competitions were a huge success.  Members of the HAEF Association, Schools’ Administrations and a great many parents were in attendance.

Eight new class records were set during the meets in the following events:

• 25m breaststroke, Anastasia Stathaki, A.C. 3^rd grade, 23”01

• 25m freestyle, Aggeliki Smyrniou, A.C. 4^th grade, 15”02

• 50m backstroke, Charalampos Doumanoglou, A.C. 5^th grade, 41”36

• 4x25m freestyle relay, Charalampos Doumanoglou, Ilias Macharas, Filippos Sarsentis, Dimitrios Sotovikis, A.C. 5^th grade section 5γ, 01’09”55

• 50m freestyle, Georgios Drougkas, P.C. 5^th grade, 31”86

• 50m freestyle, Natalia-Zoi Tzanetou, P.C. 5^th grade, 34”13

• 4x25m freestyle relay, Eurydice Anagnostou, Foteini Zafet, Maria-Beatriki Mpenou, Natalia-Zoi Tzanetou, P.C. 5^th grade section 5ε, 01’08”89

• 25m freestyle, Eleni Giagkou, P.C. 6^th grade, 14”90
