On Sunday, November 12, 2017 the Athens Marathon, the Authentic One took place. In this year’s 35th annual Marathon, the entire College family with 770 runners (students, parents and friends, alumni, employees of the School) took part, thus honoring the history and the idea of the Marathon and Sports.

Over the past six years, the College community has participated in the Classic Athens Marathon with great success.  This event is yet another means of raising awareness of the Scholarship Fund.

Participation in the Marathon can be in one of two ways:

AS RUNNERS - REPRESENTATIVES OF OUR SCHOOL in the 2017 Athens Marathon, in the 5,000m or 10,000m races within this same event, or in the 1,200m Children’s Race.

AS SPONSORS OF RUNNERS, thus recognizing, through your donation, their efforts in supporting our School’s Scholarship Fund. 


By participating in “Our Marathon” – either as runners or as sponsors - we actively promoted the importance of HAEF’s Scholarship Program. During academic year 2015-2016, the HAEF Scholarship Program provided financial assistance upwards of €4.000.100 to 793 students.

Through “Our Marathon,” we uphold the value of “Life-long Sports – Exercise, we exemplify collective volunteerism, and we communicate the timeless message of the “College Spirit.” 

Congratulations to all those who, in each and every way, participated in the “College Marathon.”
