The purpose of the Special Interest Scholarships is to support students with exceptional performance in sports and arts (music or visual arts), so that they can continue their studies with particular zeal and excel in their field of interest.

For school year 2024-25 Athens College will award:

a) Up to three (3) Scholarships of Special Interest to students of Αthens College or Psychico College Grade 6 or to students who will be among the sixty (60) first to be admitted to Grade 7 in the 2024 Entrance Examinations and who show documented exceptional performance and special distinctions in Sports, Music or Visual Arts.

b) Up to three (3) Scholarships of Special Interest to students of Athens College or Psychico College Grade 9 or to students who will be among the twenty (20) first to be admitted to Grade 10 in the 2024 Entrance Examinations and who show documented exceptional performance and special distinctions in Sports, Music or Visual Arts.

In addition, candidates must have excellent conduct certified either by a letter of recommendation from the School Director (for Grade 6 candidates) or by an Act of the Teachers' Association (for Grade 9 candidates).

Applicants who meet the above criteria will be invited to submit an application accompanied by any evidence they have of exceptional performance in one of the three areas (Sports, Music, Visual Arts).

In the event that there is an insufficient number of successful candidates who meet the above criteria, some or all of the Scholarships of Special Interest may not be awarded.

Scholarships of Special Interest cover 100% of tuition fees and continue to be granted until the recipient’s graduation, as long as the criteria of the Scholarships of Special Interest are met (exceptional performance in the specific field and excellent conduct). At the end of each academic year, the continuation of the scholarship will be re-examined on the basis of data submitted by the scholarship holders, documenting their progress and achievements in the field in which they have excelled during the school year.
